A rugby club in Wigan is appealing to the public to catch arsonists who set alight their patio benches on two different occasions.

Two teenagers have been caught on CCTV setting fire to benches at Wigan St Jude’s ARLFC, in Worsley Mesnes on 30 June.

Four week later, a group of three teens set three more benches on fire.

The first fire was ignited at 12:30am on Saturday 30 July. The arsonists left the club soon after.

Two people returned two hours later and caused major damage to two more seats, as well as the side of the clubhouse, before leaving.

The club have released CCTV footage of the people the police are keen to speak to today.

Anyone who recognises the teenagers or has any information is urged to call the police on 101 or email 17153@gmp.police.uk
