Further Arrests Made After Fatal Stabbing in Preston

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Lee Dawson, 42, who was found wounded on Jutland Street, Preston and sadly died in hospital.

Two men have already been arrested by Preston Police in connection with his murder, and are due to appear in court tomorrow.

A 36 year old has now also been arrested on suspicion, and is being held in custody for questioning.

A further two people, a man and a woman have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting the attacker.

Mr Dawson died as a result of stab wounds, the post mortem confirmed.

His grieving family have described Lee to be  “a big friendly giant” with “a strong heart and stronger head”.

Andrew Wilcock, 29, of Lincoln Walk, Preston, and Benjamin Bibby, 20, of Dawson Walk, Preston, have already been charged with Mr Dawson’s murder and also charged with possessing a bladed article.

In total, 10 people have now been arrested in connection with the murder. Five men, aged between 18 and 31, have been released on bail.
